| Obverse description | At center, within a circular medallion, a forward-facing female effigy representing Marianne is depicted with flowing hair adorned with a crown of stars, evoking the allegorical figure of the French Republic. Behind her, stylized architectural elements including vertical lines suggestive of Gothic spires are visible in the field. Surrounding the central medallion, the legend EUROPE GOTHIQUE arcs across the upper portion of the coin in bold relief lettering, while RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE curves along the inner border.
