| Obverse description | The stylized German Federal Eagle (Bundesadler), rendered in a bold, modernist graphic style with spread wings and radiating tail feathers, occupies the central field. The eagle faces left and is depicted without a shield, in accordance with the heraldic convention used for German commemorative coinage. Twelve five-pointed stars, representing the European Union, are arranged in a ring around the inner border. The circular legend reads 'BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND' along the upper arc and '10 EURO' at the base, with the date '2006' positioned to the right. The design was engraved by Erich Ott. |
