Reverse description The reverse features three oval cartouches arranged symmetrically in the field, each enclosing a distinct polychrome colored motif representative of Spain's Baroque and Rococo heritage. The upper oval depicts the principal façade of the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca, an iconic example of Spanish Baroque civic architecture. The right oval presents a portrait of the playwright Lope de Vega, based on the painting held by the Valencia Institute of Don Juan and deposited at the Lope de Vega House Museum in Madrid. The left oval reproduces, in color, the figure of the Infanta Margarita as portrayed in Velázquez's celebrated masterpiece Las Meninas, preserved in the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid. The denomination 10 EURO and the Madrid mint mark M appear in the field.
