Obverse description The obverse features a geometric background composed of intersecting engraved lines forming a multi-faceted lattice pattern, within which a central octagonal frame is inscribed. At the upper portion of this frame, an olive branch is depicted in relief, while an oak branch appears at the lower portion, both being traditional French republican symbols. The denomination EURO 10 is prominently displayed in the center of the frame, with the numeral 10 rendered in large characters to the right. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arcs around the interior of the geometric field, split with RÉPUBLIQUE at the top and FRANÇAISE at the bottom.

Additional information

Part of the Monnaie de Paris licensing series with DC Comics, this issue belongs to a broader run of pop-culture themed billon pieces that the Paris mint has aggressively expanded since the early 2020s — a commercial strategy driven by declining demand for traditional commemoratives among younger buyers. Billon at .333 fineness sits closer to a base-metal coin than a silver one, keeping production costs low enough to support wide distribution through retail channels rather than specialist dealers.
