| Additional information |
The Croatian Coldblood — Hrvatski hladnokrvnjak — is a draft breed developed in Croatia during the late 19th century through crosses of domestic mares with imported Noriker and Belgian stallions. It was formally recognized as a distinct breed in 1940. This coin is part of Croatia's ongoing domestic animal breeds bullion series, which the Croatian National Bank has used since euro adoption in January 2023 to assert a specifically Croatian cultural identity within a standardized currency union.
