Additional information

Issued as part of the Monnaie de Paris "Euros en relief" bimetallic series, this piece was produced using a coin-within-a-coin pressing technique that required custom tooling unavailable at most European mints. The central silver disc is struck independently before insertion and secondary pressing — a process that generates substantially higher rejection rates than conventional coinage, keeping surviving examples in collectible condition almost by default.
