| Obverse description | The full coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta occupies the central field, featuring a heraldic shield supported by two armoured knights standing as flanking supporters, each bearing a lance. A mural crown surmounts the shield, which bears the traditional Maltese cross and associated emblems. A scroll beneath the supporters carries the motto FIDUCIA FORTIS alongside the foundation year 1968. The legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2022 appears in the lower field. The design is framed by a continuous beaded border. |
