| Obverse description | The copper-toned centre depicts a detailed architectural view of the Gothic facade of the Cathedral of Beauvais (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Beauvais), prominently featuring the large rose window and the soaring flying buttresses rendered in fine relief. The engraver's signature 'G. BUQUOY' appears in the lower central field. The legend 'CATHEDRALE DE BEAUVAIS' runs along the lower portion of the outer ring.
