Obverse description The design depicts 4 quadrants whic (from the top left and clockwise) depict the flags of Greece,United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The National emblem is at the centre encircled with `HELLENIC REPUBLIC` (in Greek) written. At the bottom the denomination is written: `10 EURO` (in Greek).

(Translation: HELLENIC REPUBLIC 10 EURO)
Reverse description The design depicts two soldiers, one with traditional Greek uniform battling in front of the Greek flag while standing in a depiction of the outline of the island of Crete. Above them, planes flying and paratroopers landing. Encircling the design it`s written `80 YEARS FROM THE BATTLE OF CRETE` (in Greek) and on the bottom left is the signature of the engraver and at the bottom right is the mint mark of the Hellenic mint.
