| Obverse description | The face value '10 EURO' is displayed centrally between two decorative branches of laurel and oak. The circular legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' frames the design, accompanied by three hexagons and the date 2015. The cornucopia mint mark appears below and to the right of the numeral '10', while the pentagon privy mark is positioned above it. The overall composition is formal and heraldic in style, consistent with standard French Euro coinage design. |

| Additional information |
Part of the long-running Monnaie de Paris commemorative series celebrating French bande dessinée, this issue corresponds to the 2015 fiftieth-anniversary programming around the Astérix franchise. The .333 fine silver alloy — technically billon — was a deliberate choice to keep face-value issues accessible in price while maintaining a metallic distinction from base-metal circulation coinage.
Goscinny and Uderzo's Le Tour de Gaule was originally published in 1965.
