| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a colorized reproduction of Fragment A of the Antikythera Mechanism, the ancient Greek analog computing device discovered in a shipwreck off the island of Antikythera, rendered with remarkable detail including its corroded bronze surface and visible gear teeth. The fragment is shown in polychrome color treatment against the silver field, highlighting the green and brown patination of the original artifact.
