| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Malta occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing a heraldic cross and vertical lines, surmounted by a mural crown of five towers. The shield is flanked by two symmetrical olive and palm branches tied at the base, with a scroll below bearing the legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA. The country name MALTA appears to the left and the date 2015 to the right of the arms. Thirteen five-pointed stars encircle the design within a raised border, evoking the European motif. |
