| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Maltese coat of arms at centre, featuring a quartered shield bearing the George Cross and vertical stripes, surmounted by a mural crown with five towers and flanked by an olive branch to the left and a palm branch to the right. Beneath the portrait, a section of musical manuscript score is depicted in fine detail across the lower field, evoking the composer's creative legacy.
