Additional information

Jersey struck a small series of euro-denomination patterns in 2006 as the island explored theoretical adoption compatibility with the eurozone — despite Jersey having no obligation to join and no formal relationship with the European Central Bank. The island uses sterling by convention rather than treaty, which made the exercise purely speculative. These brass patterns were never submitted to any monetary authority and saw no circulation.
