Obverse description The full coat of arms of Liechtenstein occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief with elaborate heraldic detail including supporters on either side, a mantled shield bearing the princely arms, and a coronet surmounting the achievement. The arc legend 'ESSAI - PATTERN - PROBE' curves along the upper periphery, denoting the trial status of the piece in three languages. The date '2004' appears in the lower field beneath the escutcheon.

Reverse description A stamp-like rectangular frame with perforated borders dominates the left-center of the field, enclosing an oval portrait of the Prince of Liechtenstein shown as a draped bust facing left.
