Obverse description Central field features the Hellenic Republic coat of arms — a heraldic shield bearing a cross, encircled by an olive wreath — rendered in low relief against a finely granulated background. Surrounding the central device, bold radiating lines fan outward to fill the inner field, evoking classical solar or fluted architectural motifs. The legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ arcs around the upper portion of the central medallion, with the denomination 10 ΕΥΡΩ inscribed below. The entire design is framed by a continuous Greek meander (key fret) border running along the coin's periphery.

Reverse description Prominent facing bust of Thales of Miletus, the pre-Socratic philosopher and mathematician, depicted in a classical sculptural style with a full curly beard and short wavy hair, rendered in high relief. The portrait fills the majority of the central field, conveying a sense of monumental antiquity reminiscent of Hellenistic bronze sculpture. To the lower left of the bust, a small engraver's mark is visible, while the date 2024 appears in the right field. The inscription ΘΑΛΗΣ Ο ΜΙΛΗΣΙΟΣ 624–540 π.Χ. is engraved along the lower arc of the inner border. The design is framed by a continuous Greek meander (key fret) border at the coin's periphery.
