| Obverse description | Central field features the Portuguese colonial coat of arms for Mozambique, comprising the Portuguese shield quartered with the armillary sphere and a plant sprig, surmounted by a mural crown with five towers. The legend MOÇAMBIQUE arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by decorative floral ornaments at either side of the lower field. The denomination 10$00 is inscribed in large characters at the base, separated by the escudo sign. The coin exhibits a beaded border around the entire circumference. |
