Comments

The "Vision 2022" designation references King Mswati III's national development program targeting full industrialization and a first-world economy for Swaziland by 2022 — an ambition that remained largely unrealized, and one that became quietly awkward after the country renamed itself Eswatini in 2018. Notes bearing the old national name and the slogan together now occupy an unintentionally historical position.

G&D's hybrid substrate — a paper-polymer composite rather than pure polymer — was relatively new to circulation issue at this date, chosen for durability without full conversion costs.
