| Reverse description | Large, elaborately quartered royal coat of arms occupying the central field, incorporating the heraldic devices of Poland (crowned eagle), Lithuania (Pahonia mounted knight), Sweden (three crowns and lion), and the dynastic Vasa sheaf, among other territorial quarterings. The shield is surmounted by a large open royal crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis and arches. The surrounding Latin legend, continuing from the obverse, identifies Sigismund III as hereditary King of Sweden, the Goths, and the Vandals. A beaded inner circle frames the arms, and the overall design reflects the high-relief die-work characteristic of presentation coinage of the period. |
