| Obverse description | A finely engraved panoramic cityscape of Regensburg (Ratisbon) dominates the field, depicting the city's skyline with towers, spires, and fortifications along the Danube, with a prominent multi-arched stone bridge in the foreground and small boats visible on the river. Billowing clouds fill the upper field above the city. The curved legend around the upper periphery reads ADIVTORE ALTISSIMO APESTE LIBERATA SECVRE, and the city's Latin name RATISBONA appears in the lower segment below the bridge, separated by a raised border. The engraving is executed in a detailed, baroque pictorial style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German medallic art. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a dramatic baroque scene depicting figures in supplication and thanksgiving following the plague: three kneeling figures, including a woman and robed individuals, gesture toward a smoking sacrificial altar or fire at the left, with a hillside building visible in the background. The composition alludes to Noah's burnt offering of thanksgiving after the flood, as cited by the scriptural reference in the exergue. The upper curved legend reads AETERNO RATIS HAEC BONA FERT POST FVNERA GRATES, while the lower exergue contains the biblical citation GEN. C. VIII. / V. XX. The scene is rendered in rich high-relief engraving consistent with the finest Regensburg medallic production of the period. |
