Obverse description Laureate and armoured bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, draped with a voluminous curly wig, breaking through an inner pearl circle. The legend encircles the effigy, interrupted by a crowned twofold Hungarian coat of arms on one side and the Madonna and Child (Patrona Hungariae) device on the other. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detail characteristic of late 17th-century Habsburg coinage.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed within an inner circle, the mintmark N·B divided by the eagle's tail. A crowned fourfold coat of arms — alternating Árpádian stripes and Bohemian lion — is displayed in a U-shaped cartouche across the breast of the eagle, with an inescutcheon bearing the uncrowned Austrian and Burgundian arms at centre. The date is divided by the crown at the top of the composition, with the year appearing in the upper field.
