Obverse description Armored and crowned bust of Elector Johann Georg I facing right, wearing a ruff collar, with the date 1630 divided across the field flanking the figure. The abbreviated legend CONFESSIO AUGUSTANA EXHIBITA SEC[ULUM) surrounds the effigy, referencing the centennial of the Augsburg Confession. Heraldic shields appear in the lower field to either side of the bust. The initials IOH and GEOR appear flanking the portrait, identifying the elector.
