| Obverse description | The central field displays the full coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, featuring a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, a rising sun, and a plow and shovel in the foreground, all enclosed within a decorative shield. A ribbon scroll above the shield bears the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE'. The date '2006' is divided to either side of the shield, with '20' at left and '06' at right.
