Additional information

Liberia's late-1990s and early-2000s commemorative silver program was produced almost entirely for the export collector market, with no meaningful domestic circulation. The pieces were struck under contract by foreign mints and sold through international distributors — the Liberian government collected licensing fees while having little involvement in distribution or design.

The .999 fine specification at this weight places it outside standard coinage norms, a deliberate choice to appeal to bullion-adjacent collectors rather than numismatists proper.
