| Obverse description | The national arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, depicting a frigatebird with outstretched wings above a traditional Marshallese stick chart, flanked by palm trees to the left and a traditional outrigger sailing canoe to the right, with a radiant sun above. Traditional Marshallese navigational symbols and a fishing net appear in the upper field. The entire design is encircled by a chain border, with the legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcing along the upper periphery, the denomination $10 at the lower left, the date 1996 at the lower right, and the national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN along the lower arc.
