| Obverse description | The rhombus-shaped obverse features a richly detailed high-relief composition surrounding a central holographic stained-glass window insert depicting a seated Christ figure in the Gothic lancet arch style. To the left stands a crowned and robed royal figure holding a sceptre, accompanied by supplicant figures at his feet, with the denomination '10 DOLLARS' inscribed in the left field. To the right, the raised coat of arms of the Republic of Palau is displayed within a circular cartouche bearing the legend 'REPUBLIC OF PALAU' and 'RAINBOW'S END'. The date '2011' appears at the lower centre, and the antique finish lends the silver surfaces a warm, aged patina throughout. |
