| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Liberia centrally positioned in the field, depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun on a shield, flanked by decorative foliage. A scroll above the shield bears the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE', and a smaller scroll below reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. The outer legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs along the upper rim, with the date '2004' divided at either side of the shield, and the denomination '10 DOLLARS' inscribed along the lower rim. The entire design is executed in a prooflike finish with a reeded border. |
