| Obverse description | The obverse of this rhombus-shaped antique-finish silver coin depicts the interior of the Pisa Cathedral rendered in high relief, with flanking colonnaded arcades receding in perspective toward an ornately coffered ceiling. At center, a large colored stained-glass window insert portrays the Virgin Mary in a blue mantle, hands clasped in prayer, surrounded by a radiant golden halo, set within an arched frame embellished with jewel-toned roundels. To the right of the window, the shield-shaped coat of arms of the Republic of Palau is shown in relief, encircled by the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU and the series name RAINBOW'S END. The denomination 10 DOLLARS appears in the left field, and the date 2016 is inscribed at the upper apex of the rhombus. |
