| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Liberia at center, depicting a sailing ship at sea above a plowshare and a dove in flight, framed by a decorative shield with a palm tree and the rising sun. The date is split to either side of the arms, with '20' to the left and '06' to the right. The outer legend reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' along the upper arc and 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' in a secondary arc within the field. The denomination '10 DOLLARS' appears in the lower exergue, flanked by the inscriptions 'FINE SILVER' and 'FINE GOLD' with the fineness marks '.999' and '1.000' respectively. The entire design is struck in proof quality within a beaded border. |
