| Obverse description | The Fijian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two Fijian warriors in traditional dress, one holding a spear and the other a club. A British lion passant gardant appears in the upper quarter of the shield, with a sugar cane, coconut palm, dove of peace, and a bunch of bananas in the remaining quarters. Above the shield, a British sailing vessel is displayed as a crest. The national motto 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui' appears on a scroll in the exergue.
