| Obverse description | The obverse depicts an elaborate Mannerist architectural interior rendered in high relief, featuring a grand vaulted hall with ornate coffered ceilings, decorative friezes, and classical columns flanking a broad staircase. At upper centre, the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau is displayed within a shield, surmounted by the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU and RAINBOW'S END. A large oval inset of genuine orange-hued agate occupies the central field, framed within an elaborately decorated archway evocative of late Renaissance palatial design.
