Obverse description Right-facing draped bust portrait of Louisa Adams, sixth First Lady of the United States, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair adorned with an ornamental tiara and curled ringlets framing her face. The legend LOUISA ADAMS arcs along the upper border, while IN GOD WE TRUST appears in three lines to the left of the effigy and LIBERTY, the date 2008, and mint mark W to the right. Along the lower border, the ordinal designation 6th and the presidential term dates 1825-1829 are inscribed. The engravers' initials SG and PH appear in the lower field near the truncation of the bust.
