| Obverse description | The national arms of the Republic of Liberia occupy the central field, depicting a sailing ship approaching a shoreline with a rising sun, a palm tree, a dove in flight, and a plough with a spade, all enclosed within a shield supported by decorative elements. A ribbon scroll bearing the motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE encircles the upper portion of the arms.
