Obverse description The central field displays the full Jamaican coat of arms, featuring a quartered shield bearing five golden pineapples on a cross, surmounted by a crocodile atop a royal helmet and mantling. Two Taino figures serve as supporters on either side, each adorned in traditional regalia, the dexter figure holding a bow and the sinister figure holding a spear. The legend JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, while TEN DOLLARS appears at the lower left and the date 1978 at the lower right, all within a finely reeded border. The mint mark FM, denoting the Franklin Mint, appears on the obverse field.
