| Obverse description | The Singapore Arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by a lion rampant to the left and a tiger passant to the right, surmounted by a crescent moon and five stars. Surrounding the Arms is a circular legend rendering 'SINGAPORE' in all four official languages: Malay (SINGAPURA), Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்), Chinese (新加坡), and English (SINGAPORE). The Malay national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA appears within the legend, and the year of issue is inscribed below the Arms in the lower field. |
