| Obverse description | The obverse displays the official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands at centre, depicting a frigatebird with outstretched wings above a traditional Marshallese stick chart, flanked by a sailing canoe to the right and palm trees to the left, with a radiant sun above. Two crossed traditional implements — a paddle and a fishing net — appear behind the central motif. The denomiation '$10' appears to the left and the date '1998' to the right, both within the inner circle. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS' runs clockwise along the upper periphery, while the Marshallese national motto 'JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN' curves along the lower periphery, the entire design enclosed within a decorative chain border. |
