| Obverse description | The obverse features the arms of the Republic of Liberia at center, depicting a three-masted sailing ship on the sea, a palm tree, a rising sun, a dove in flight, and a plough with a spade in the foreground, all within a decorated shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE.
