| Obverse description | A highly detailed, naturalistic depiction of a glasswing butterfly (Greta oto) dominates the rhombus-shaped field, its upper forewings rendered in vivid polychrome color with translucent blue, red, and orange hues inset into a heart-shaped aperture at center. The lower hindwings are executed in relief in matte and proof silver, conveying the species' characteristic transparent wing panels. A lush meadow landscape with grasses and scattered butterflies in flight is engraved across the field.
