Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded, adorned with a necklace and earrings. The legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' above and '10 DOLLARS CANADA 2005' around the periphery, with the designer's initials 'SB' truncated at the bust. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic style characteristic of Blunt's fourth definitive effigy of the Queen for Canadian coinage.
