| Additional information |
Fiji issued a sprawling series of silver dollars under license to mark the 2012 London Games, with individual sports broken out across dozens of separate coins — a commercial numismatic exercise rather than anything rooted in Fijian sporting culture. The triathlon was added to the Olympic programme only in Sydney 2000, making it one of the newer events to receive this kind of commemorative treatment.
