Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the central field of the rectangular flan, rendered in low relief against a polished gold ground. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left margin and SOLOMON ISLANDS curves along the upper right, with the denomination 10 DOLLARS positioned vertically at the right edge. The date 2019 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait. The effigy bears the hallmark of Ian Rank-Broadley's mature portrait style.

Additional information

Part of a broader wave of fractional gold issues flooding the market from Pacific island sovereigns in the late 2010s, this piece was struck under license arrangements typical of the Cook Islands and Solomon Islands programs, where the issuing authority is nominal and production and distribution are handled entirely by private minting houses — in this case almost certainly the Czech-based Česká mincovna or a comparable contractor.
