| Reverse description | Two Tufted Titmice rendered in fine struck silver relief are depicted perched upon the textured bark of a birch tree trunk, surrounded by vivid full-color foliage of bright green leaves against a blue sky background. The upper bird faces left while the lower bird faces right, both portrayed with exceptional ornithological detail in their plumage. The denomination 10 DOLLARS appears in the left field in white lettering, and the designer's initials DCW are situated at the lower right. The naturalistic composition combines polished silver sculptural relief with vibrant applied color to create a striking trompe-l'œil effect. |

| Additional information |
Part of the RCM's long-running coloured wildlife series, this issue targets the collector market exclusively — no circulation was ever intended. The Tufted Titmouse is a notable choice for a Canadian mint, as the species' range barely enters southern Ontario; it's functionally an American bird pressed into Canadian numismatic service.
