Reverse description A naturalistic, high-relief depiction of a North American beaver (Castor canadensis) gnawing on a birch tree trunk, positioned centrally within the field against a matte frosted background. The animal is shown in profile facing right, with its distinctive broad tail and textured fur rendered in fine detail. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS and date 2013 appear in the lower portion of the field. The initials PL appear discreetly in the lower right field area. The composition evokes the naturalist tradition of Canadian wildlife coinage.
