Reverse description The third-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, crowned with the George IV State Diadem and wearing a pearl necklace and earring, as modelled by engraver Raphael David Maklouf. The bust is draped and presented in a refined, slightly idealized style characteristic of the Maklouf portrait used on Commonwealth coinage from 1985. The engraver's initials RDM appear discreetly below the truncation. The circumferential legend QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND arcs around the upper and right portion of the field within a beaded border.
