Obverse description Right-facing draped and crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, after the portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace. The legend QUEEN to the left and ELIZABETH THE SECOND to the right arc around the bust within a beaded border. The engraver's initials RDM appear discreetly at the base of the truncation.

Reverse description The national coat of arms of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines occupies the central field, depicting two female figures flanking an altar, with a breadfruit sprig above the shield and the motto PAX ET JUSTITIA on a scroll below. The arms are enclosed within a beaded inner circle, flanked by the inscriptions SAINT VINCENT and THE GRENADINES. The commemorative legend ROYAL VISIT 1985 arcs boldly across the upper field outside the circle, while TEN DOLLARS appears along the lower arc, with the designer's initials JS visible at the base.
