| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a pearl necklace and earring, after the effigy designed by Susanna Blunt. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS and the date 2011 are inscribed along the lower field, flanking the portrait. The finely detailed hair and regal bearing are characteristic of the fourth definitive portrait used on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward. A small designer's initials mark (SB) appears truncated below the bust. |

The fineness designation 9999 appears to the left of the maple leaf and 9999 to the right. Below the stem, flanking a central dividing line, the dual dates 1911 and 2011 commemorate the centennial of the Royal Canadian Mint's refinery operations, establishing the coin's commemorative context within the standard Maple Leaf bullion series. |
