Additional information

One of seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus was destroyed and rebuilt multiple times before its final destruction by the Goths in 268 AD — after which it was never restored. This coin belongs to the broader wave of Solomon Islands-issued bullion and commemorative microgold pieces that proliferated through the 2020s, produced almost entirely for the collector market with no meaningful domestic circulation. The posthumous Elizabeth II obverse places this firmly in the transitional issues minted after her death in September 2022 before Commonwealth realms completed their die transitions to Charles III.
