One of seven "Wonders of the World" series issues, this coin capitalizes on the collectibles market that exploded around Elizabeth II memorial pieces following her death in September 2022. The Statue of Zeus — a 40-foot chryselephantine figure by Pheidias, housed at Olympia and later likely moved to Constantinople before disappearing from the historical record around the 5th century AD — left no surviving physical trace, making every modern depiction speculative.
The Solomon Islands has no meaningful connection to ancient Olympia; the issuing authority here is essentially a licensing arrangement for a bullion-adjacent novelty product.
