Reverse description The central field depicts a dramatic naval scene with multiple fully-rigged sailing warships of the Age of Sail rendered in fine relief upon stylised waves, commemorating Admiral Horatio Nelson's favourite vessels. A radiant sunburst star ornament is prominently placed above the ships at the top of the field. A rope-bordered panel below the ships carries the inscription NELSON'S FAVOURITE SHIPS, beneath which appears a facsimile of Nelson's signature, the Pobjoy Mint mark PM, and the denomination $10 at the base. The circumferential legend ADMIRAL HORATIO NELSON 1758-1805 arcs across the upper portion of the coin.
