Obverse description The coin is struck in the outline shape of the iconic golden death mask of Tutankhamun. The obverse features the right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, occupying the lower half of the field. Surrounding the portrait, the legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' at the left, 'SOLOMON ISLANDS' across the upper arc, and '10 DOLLARS' at the right. Along the lower rim, the inscriptions '1g', '2022', and 'Au 999' denote the weight, year of issue, and gold fineness respectively. The upper portion of the obverse displays the name 'TUTANKHAMUN' in Latin letters above an Egyptian hieroglyphic cartouche rendered in high relief against a polished field.

Reverse description The reverse is shaped to follow the contours of Tutankhamun's funerary mask and depicts a highly detailed, three-dimensional rendering of the iconic golden death mask of the boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. The mask is shown frontally, with the characteristic striped nemes headdress falling to either side of the face, the braided divine beard projecting from the chin, and the broad usekh collar spread across the shoulders. Fine parallel striations on the headdress and collar are rendered in sharp relief, contrasting with the smoothly modeled facial features. The coin's shape precisely follows the silhouette of the mask, enhancing the sculptural realism of the design.
